DESIGN FOR THE 2019 CAMPAIGN

The exhibition highlights the work carried out by a number of associations such as Eskaapi for architecture, Hors Pistes for object design and Hubbiel, who is interested in Indian embroidery know-how. These associations are run by young designers who, during their travels, discover techniques and artisanal know-how that they consider necessary to safeguard in the face of globalization. They organize missions around which craftsmen and creators meet and work in respect of a real intercultural exchange.
The chosen pieces show how, motivated by an aesthetic emotion, the designer or the artist tries to merge his knowledge and his appreciation of a cultural tradition with his understanding of the contemporary world.
